Research Commissioned by the Georgia State Advisory Council on Early Childhood Education and Care

The Georgia State Advisory Council on Early Childhood Education and Care, now part of the Georgia Children’s Cabinet, commissioned several research projects relating to services for Georgia’s children and families.

Georgia’s Child Care Resource and Referral System Evaluation Report

Conducted by the FPG Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the purpose of this study was to determine how effectively Georgia’s network of child care resource and referral agencies supports quality improvement and to identify potential areas for improvement.

From Baseline to Best-In-Class: Improving the Health of Georgia’s Children Ages One to Five

Conducted by the Georgia Department of Public Health, the purpose of this project was to study Georgia’s current system of health screenings and to identify and recommend initiatives to improve access, use, delivery, and coordination of health screenings to ensure that Georgia’s children enter school ready to learn and succeed.
