Food Allergy Information

Food Allergies

The USDA, Food and Nutrition Service worked in cooperation with the National Food Service Management Institute in Oxford, MS., to create a series of fact sheets that provide an overview of food allergies, the top 8 food allergies, how to manage food allergies, and common questions regarding food allergies in child nutrition programs. These fact sheets were designed with child nutrition programs as the primary audiences, however, they could be used in most settings where guidance is being offered about food allergies.

For more information on food allergies, review the Nutrition Education resources on the Child Health & Wellness page..
