Child Care Services:
Bright from the Start: The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning will investigate any report concerning a licensing violation at a child care center, group day care or a family child care home. To file a complaint, call 404.657.5562 or 404.656.5957.
Georgia's Pre-K Program:
To report a concern about a program or school offering Georgia's Pre-K program, please contact the Pre-K Division by calling 404.656.5957 or 1.888.442.7735 (toll-free) and asking to speak with the Pre-K Consultant of the Day.
The Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP):
Parents of children enrolled in centers or at sites participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) can file a complaint regarding the meal service to the Nutrition Services Division of Bright from the Start. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP):
Parents of children enrolled in centers or at sites participating in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) can file a complaint regarding the meal service to the Nutrition Services Division of Bright from the Start. You may contact Nutrition complaint line at 678-717-5364 or email

Head Start:
To file a complaint regarding a local Head Start center or agency, please contact the Head Start Director at the
grantee agency listed on the link provided here. Click on the county in which the center is located, then click on the link provided to get the telephone number of that office. Should you have further questions or concerns, please contact the
Head Start Director.
