The Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning is the located in the East Tower of the James H. "Sloppy" Floyd Building. The following are directions from north, south, east & west:

From MARTA:

MARTA is the recommended mode of transportation for visitors, when possible. MARTA's Georgia State Station is on the East and West Line with an exit directly into the Floyd Building. All employees and visitors are required to have picture identification as they enter the building from the MARTA entrance. If a visitor or employee does not have a pictured identification, they must enter from the front of the building at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive entrance. By Car:

Parking is available at several downtown lots. However, the Pete Hackney parking deck, at the corner of Decatur Street and Jesse Hill, Jr. Drive, is recommended by the Georgia Building Authority. Daily parking is limited and sometimes not available, especially during the annual legislative session. All visitors are required to have picture identification and must enter through the front door located on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.

The Floyd Building is located directly north-east of the State Capitol in the block between Piedmont Avenue and Jesse Hill, Jr. Drive, facing Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.

Exit #248-A MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DRIVE-Bear to the right off the exit onto Jesse Hill, Jr. Drive. Just beyond the overpass public parking is available in the first parking deck on the right, Pete Hackney Parking Garage.

Exit #246 FULTON STREET-Turn right onto Fulton Street, and at the first traffic light turn left onto Capitol Avenue. Cross Memorial Drive, proceed past the Capitol building and turn right onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Take the next left onto Jesse Hill, Jr. Drive. Just beyond the overpass, public parking is available in the first parking deck on the right, Pete Hackney Parking Garage.

Exit #58-A CAPITOL AVENUE-Turn right onto Capitol Avenue, cross Memorial Drive and proceed past the Capitol building. Bear to the right onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Take the next left onto Jesse Hill, Jr. Drive. Just beyond the overpass, public parking is available in the first parking deck on the right, Pete Hackney Parking Garage.

Exit #56-B WINDSOR & SPRING STREETS-Continue on the exit ramp to the third traffic signal; turn left onto Central Avenue. Continue on Central to the third traffic signal; turn right onto Mitchell Street. Continue on Mitchell past the Capitol Building. Turn left onto Capitol Avenue and bear to the right onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Take the next left onto Jesse Hill, Jr. Drive. Just beyond the overpass public parking is available in the first parking deck on the right, Pete Hackney Parking Garage.

Exit #56-B WINDSOR & SPRING STREETS-Continue on the exit ramp to the third traffic signal; turn left onto Central Avenue. At the next traffic light, turn right onto Memorial Drive. At the next traffic light turn left onto Capitol Avenue and proceed past the Capitol building. Bear to the right onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Take the next left onto Jesse Hill, Jr. Drive. Just beyond the overpass public parking is available in the first parking deck on the right, Pete Hackney Parking Garage.

ADA Accessibility:

The ADA accessible entrance to the Floyd Memorial Building is located at the main entrance to the building on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and Piedmont Avenue. The elevators to the East Tower will be on your right. To reach the ADA accessible entrance from the Pete Hackney Parking Garage, go up Jesse Hill Jr. Drive to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and go right until you reach the corner with Piedmont Avenue.
