Quality Rated

Quality Rated Parents and families need an independent, trustworthy resource to help them find high-quality child care, preschool, and Pre-K programs. That’s where Georgia’s Quality Rated comes in. Quality Rated has an online tool that helps families find child care in their area that have been evaluated by credentialed early childhood experts and deemed high-quality. Families can have peace of mind knowing that any participating child care program is committed to providing children an environment and experience that is best for their development.

2021-12-16 CAPS/QR Probationary Status Orientation - Provider Webinar

This webinar gives CAPS/QR Probationary providers the necessary information to select a rating route pathway for 2022. The deadline for programs to select the rating pathway is December 31, 2021. Listen to the webinar to learn more about the 2 pathway options: expedited and traditional, hear about the benchmarks of progress plan, and how program's progress through them will be tracked and monitored - allowing them to mainatain eligibility to CAPS Scholarships while working on achieving a star rating.

This webinar is the latest in a series of informational webinars to update child care providers on the changes to both the CAPS program and the QR system. CAPS providers will learn about CAPS policy updates, two new CAPS/QR Statuses impacting them (Provisional and Probationary), and hear updates to the Tier Reimbursement rates. This webinar also details the cohort group slot selection process for 2022 and the options available to providers seeking to rate in 2022. QR will accommodate providers by offering both traditional and alternate rating pathways in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

To support the achievement of this goal, DECAL will rate all programs in 2021 using the new Temporary Alternate Rating Options (TARO).
