Other SFSP Resources

There are many ways to engage children and families in meaningful and fun activities. These activities can support a broader celebration of children or represent something new and different to do with a child every day.

Each of these documents contains activities that can be done in the classroom and/or the home. We encourage you to use these ideas to celebrate these children's events and make every day a special day.

    Provides a free reading motivation program for children in grades K-8.
  • Kid at Art
    This website teaches children and their caregivers’ creative ways to recycle by making art.
  • Public Broadcasting Service
    This web site, provided by the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), is home to more than 1,000 television show companion sites in addition to Web-original sites.

  • Reading is Fundamental
    This organization prepares and motivates children to read by delivering free books and literacy resources to those children and families who need them most.

    Provides information on child development, raising children, getting children ready for school and offers PBS KIDS games
