If you are interested in opening a Child Care Learning Center (CCLC) or Group Day Care Home (GDCH), you must attend a Licensure Orientation Meeting (LOM) class prior to submitting an application for license. LOM is required for all CCLC & GDCH applicants. LOM classes are conducted monthly and there is no charge to attend. Please click the link for the Licensure Orientation Meeting locations and schedule. Bright from the Start requires that prior to the issuance of an initial license, the director of a Child Care Learning Center (CCLC/effective 10/01/05) or Group Day Care Home (GDCH/effective 12/22/09) complete a 40-hour Director's Training course that has been approved by the Department. Click the link for a current listing of state-approved trainers for this course.
